Dr. Kim received her doctorate in developmental psychology at University of California, Riverside and completed 3 years of post-doctoral training at ACE-UCR under the mentorship of Nancy Guerra. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the department of Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State, Brandywine. Her research interests center on the etiology and prevention of youth violence and aggression, with a particular focus on ethnic minority youth. She is also interested in issues of identity development and how it may impact youth violence and aggression. As a graduate student and post-doctoral researcher, Dr. Kim authored papers and fact sheets for the Center's website, as well as represented the Center at national conferences. She has authored and co-authored numerous publications with ACE-UCR faculty. Though Dr. Kim is now teaching at Penn State, she continues to collaborate on research projects with Nancy Guerra and the Center.
